After the first period, the shot totals would be 11-7 Sewer Rats, and they would continue to pounce on the Vudoos with more rubber, which would result in a goal by Boris Raizberg. Within a minute, the Sewer Rats would balloon their lead to 4-0 when Tukhtin would fire a wrister off the post and in, and it would go into the third period with the 4-0 scoreline still intact, and the Sewer Rats ahead on shots 24-14.

The Vudoos would make a game of it with two third period goals: Mark Schwanda unasissted, and Ray "Ziesse's Peanut Butter Cup" Ziesse from Mike "Mikey Jr." Cenatiempo, Jr. and Mike Cenatiempo. The Vudoos would now be on the attack, nearly halving their now two goal deficit, but would hit the post before Eric "Bogus" Rogus would snatch up that puck and work it to Tukhtin, who would make it 5-2 Sewer Rats, which would be the final as the Sewer Rats would lead on shots 32-27.
