Vudoos Win Playoff Tune Up with Hooligans

The Hooligans and Vudoos would meet in a tune up before their playoff rematch, although the correct outcome in either direction would change who is the four, compared to the five, seed, and the recipient of the larger locker room.

The first goal in this one would be Dom Micclizzi unassisted when he would lift the puck high and in, but a pretty finish, by Chris Folkens from Keith Plescia, would level it. The next goal would also be the Hooligans', when tic-tac-toe, Davey Leong would tap in from Joe Hutchison and Folkens, before Folkens' breakaway goal into the top corner. Now up 3-1, the Hooligans would have their lead halved when Pat Trayford banged in a rebound after Dom Micclizzi fired on target, and nullified when Micclizzi would add another. The Vudoos would go ahead with Adam Kelly, low, and two ahead at 5-3, with Micclizzi's hat trick goal from Rob Coffman. The Vudoos would cap off their five goal comeback with Mark Schwanda, for a 6-3 win, clinching them the four seed, and the larger locker room.

The Vudoos and Hooligans will meet again in their first round matchup, in what should be another thrilling encounter.

The Stateside Tap + Tavern Man of the Match Award was won by Dom Micclizzi (3G, 1A).
