Ooff! Win with Buzzer Beater

Both teams were being backboned by their goalie, Dean Bogner of Ooff! and Pete Peterson of the Vudoos, who each were perfect after a period. Bogner would be able to utilize his paddle to frustrate the Vudoos whenever they would generate some buzz, and Peterson would rely on his trusty glove to gobble up and snare any pucks to prevent Ooff! from mounting much momentum.

Most of the second period would continue to be with the goalies still not conceding, but when Will "The Wild Card" Dimock was assessed a hook, the Vudoos would be shorthanded. Ooff! Made their power play count with some pristine puck movement by Jon "Das" Boot to Mike Caporaso, who would elude Peterson and his mitt with a slapper for 1-0. Onomatopoeia Crew. Unwilling to go into the third down, the Vudoos would retaliate with Kurt Seidel from Ray "Ziesse's Peanut Butter Cup" Ziesse oblast, and it would go into the third all square.

The third featured more phenomenal goaltending, as overtime seemed inevitable. Neither team could unbreak the deadlock, that is, until late. The Vudoos streaked down the ice in hopes of the game winner, but would mishandle the puck. With so many guys attacking, the Vudoos were vulnerable as Ooff! went on an odd man rush. There was just enough time to generate an attempt on net, and when Tommy McNulty played it to Jimmy DiPaolo, a quick DiPaolo deke which bought time for Chris Fagan to join the rush, would see DiPaolo drop it off for his streaking teammate, who did the rest and got it to 2-1 for all three points.
