Costa Holds Down Fort in Net

The Berets and Vudoos would play a gentlemanly game, with each team struggling to score on Berets netminder Nuno Costa or Vudoos netminder Pete Peterson. Eventually, Milton Solis would go high on Peterson from Joe Patrick, then right after, for a Green Brook lead, then Keith "The Fireball" Fimiani increased it 2-0 from Dave Hutchins. Costa continued his excellent play by padding away Mark Schwanda's slapper, then Ryan Hansen would score from Patrick and Andrew Bzdula, for 3-0. Costa was getting closer and closer to a shutout, but a late Vudoos goal would thwart that as James Woods-Corwin eluded Costa glove side. Still though, that was the only goal Costa would let up as the Berets won 3-1 and he won the Buffalo Wild Wings Man of the Match Award.
