Archers Still Perfect

The Archers began the second half of their season after a perfect first half with all 15 points in five games. The Vudoos were on their way to spoiling that, perhaps, when Michael Bliss was passed to by Ray "Ziesse's Peanut Butter Cup" Ziesse and deked through a few Danger Zoners on his way into the Archers' zone before going bar down for a 1-0 Vudoos lead. Matt Pietrowski would clamp down to hold the Vudoos for a long time after this snipe, and while he did that, Jason Fischbach would score twice, the first where he shouldered off a Vudoos defender down the wing to slide in past Pete Peterson, which was followed by one of his patented wristers for an Archers advantage. Back and forth play would continue until Josh Sumoski doubled the gap to 3-1 with a stupendous laser through traffic, then Dean Moakler pulled the Archers further in front when he went high on Peterson. Pietrowski was still on point, stopping 15 straight after his first goal allowed on attempt number one for the Vudoos, but Bliss would be there again to score on the Archers' netminder for a tenser ending. It would not last due to Sumoski's second goal of the night when he snaked through the Vudoos' defense, in what was a 5-2 Archers' win.
