Woods-Corwin Scores Natural Hat Trick

Thursday, April 12, 2018

The Admirals went ahead when Vincent Pellegrino scored, courtesy of their touted rookie, Phil Gakos, from Dan Scerra, the Vudoo tied it before "Commander" Tommy Whitney regained that Admirals' lead. Whitney then went to the box for high sticking, but the Admirals killed it off, then increased their lead on a Pellegrino goal from Whitney. Down 3-1, the Vudoo's James Woods-Corwin scored a natural hat trick in 1:17 to catapult his team in front, but Pellegrino matched Woods-Corwin by completing a hat trick of his own. Now 4-4, the Admirals went in front for the third time, on this occasion with a Jared "The Aircraft" Carrier goal, which was followed by Gary Len's hook to put the Vudoo shorthanded. The Vudoo kept themselves in it with an excellent kill, but an even strength goal by The Aircraft Carrier meant a 6-4 lead for the Admirals, which would end up being the final.

Vincent Pellegrino (3G) and James Woods-Corwin (3G in a losing cause) won the Hockey Haus Man of the Match Award.
