Vudoo Get Fourth Win of Spring

Dylan Crawford put the Punishers in front with a snipe, but Brian MacLean was there to cancel that one out on James Woods-Corwin's setup, with a blast of his own. Woods-Corwin got the Vudoo's second goal when Mark Schwanda found him in the slot, but a slash by Dan Scerra would put the Punishers on the power play. Instead of the Punishers tying it, the Vudoo scored shorthanded, with Brian MacLean the man to sneak one in from a tight angle. Greg Shiff got the Punishers closer with a slapper, and it was now 3-2, but a MacLean trip would put the Vudoo down a man. The Punishers scored on their power play, with Joey Nicastro rocketing one in, which was followed by another Crawford goal, and now it was the Punishers who were up. Scerra scored from Captain Gary Len for 4-4, then Schwanda roofed one to regain the Vudoo's lead as the back and forth battle continued. Jeff Brooks went to the box for holding, and the Vudoo went on the power play which they made count after Len was helped by Schwanda. Crawford kept the Punishers in it by completing his hat trick on a feed from Nicastro, but Shiff's trip would cut into their time to equalize. Up a man, the Vudoo were unable to score, but did suck the life out of this one, taking two minutes off the clock, where that 6-5 score held up, for three points.
Mark Schwanda (1G, 2A) and Dylan Crawford (3G in a losing effort) each gained a point in the Hockey Haus Man of the Match Standings.
