Woods-Corwin has Big Game in Vudoo Win

The Rink Rats scurried out to a quick lead, but James Woods-Corwin slammed one home on a Dan Scerra assist. A Rink Rats hook came, then Woods-Corwin's power play goal followed for a 2-1 Vudoo lead. The Vudoo made it 3-1 on Ray "Ziesse's Peanut Butter Cup" Ziesse's goal from Scerra, which was followed by Tom Godon's finish for 4-1. Nick Graham got the Rink Rats closer with some robust moves, but George Dimock restored the three goal Vudoo lead. Scerra and Graham were assessed matching delay of game penalties, then Vincent Falcicchio scored for the Rink Rats. Now 5-3, George Dimock went off for interference, putting the Vudoo down a man. But two shorthanded goals came, first Ziesse, then Woods-Corwin's hat trick goal. Dimock left the box, but Fred Hoth went in for roughing. The Rink Rats found the net on their power play, which was followed by another Hoth penalty, this one a hold. This time, the Rink Rats could not score on their man advantage, but got one more at even strength, with the 7-5 score holding as the final in a Vudoo win.

James Woods-Corwin's hat trick won him the Hockey Haus Man of the Match Award.
