Vudoo Come Back on Perch

Kurt Seidel netted from James Woods-Corwin and Ray Ziesse for a Vudoo lead. Seidel went to the box for holding, but his team killed it off, which was followed by an even strength goal, courtesy of Antonio Figueroa, and a 2-0 Vudoo lead. Joe Allen put the Perch shorthanded after his trip; two seconds into the power play, Tom Thrun scored from Mark Schwanda to go up 3-0. Jimmy DiPaolo scored a natural hat trick, the first from David Leong, the second unassisted, and the third from Craig Pastore to tie it 3-3. Dan Scerra was called for interference, and the Perch went on a power play. The downward spiral continued for the Vudoo when Doug Pastore scored from Craig Pastore on the power play, putting the Perch up 4-3. Mark Schwanda scored a power play goal from Grace "The Ace" Dimock, tying it at 4-4. Matching minor penalties were called on Woods-Corwin (unsportsmanlike conduct) and the Perch (hooking). Eventually, Thrun scored from Jim Schwanda and Seidel to get the Vudoo in front. After David Leong's trip, the Perch were up against it, but they did generate a shorthanded breakaway where Pete Peterson made a phenomenal save, keeping the Vudoo ahead. Woods-Corwin scored an empty netter on the power play from Thrun, for a 6-4 Vudoo win.

Tom Thrun, who scored two goals and one assist, won the Hockey Haus Man of the Match Award.
