Lorincz Bags Four Goals in Pterodactyls Win

The first period's only action was the Pterodactyls' Tony Gesumaria receiving an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. Pterodactyls goalie Jeff Leidner and Vudoo goalie Pete Peterson were perfect through the first fifteen minutes, but almost five minutes into the second period, Tom Godon beat Leidner to put the Vudoo in front. Brigid Lorincz leveled the Flying Fossils by scoring on her breakaway, then put her team ahead with a low shot through traffic. Mark Schwanda got the Vudoo to 2-2, but Lorincz was there to finish her hat trick and regain a Pterodactyls lead. Zach Zakolski doubled the Pterodactyls advantage, but Schwanda was able to get the Vudoo to down one. Jesse Peterson netted, tying it up 4-4, then the Vudoo had a chance to take the lead after the Tim Webster's trip put him in the box and the Pterodactyls shorthanded. But it was Gesumaria who would score while Webster was in the box, before Lorincz put the game away at even strength, in a 6-4 Pterodactyls win.
