Zach "The Zebra" or "Zacharoni and Cheese" Zakolski netted from Rob "The Magician" Major, who made Zakolski seemingly appear from out of nowhere before finding him. This would be the only goal of the first period, with Jeff Leidner keeping the Vudoo off the board, while Pete Peterson kept the Vudoo from falling further behind.

Andy Grygo put the Pterodactyls up 2-0, courtesy of Geof Grek, but James Woods-Corwin finally beat Leidner over halfway through the second period. Nine seconds later, Grygo canceled out Woods-Corwin's goal, making it 3-1 before Big Tony Gesumaria scored from Dangerous Don Vallario for a 4-1 Pterodactyls lead. After the Vudoo called timeout, Ray "Ziesse's Peanut Butter Cup" Ziesse went off for tripping, but the Pterodactyls could not extend their lead.

The third period began with the score still 4-1 and with matching minor roughs to Grygo and Dan Scerra. Gesumaria's hook saw him go off, and while the Pterodactyls killed off the penalty, as soon as Scerra returned to play, he scored. Now 4-2, the game continued with both goalies dictating the action. The Vudoo pulled Peterson for the extra skater, and The Magician Mager was called for hooking. At 6-on-4, Grek scored a shorthanded empty netter, ending the game at 5-2 for the Pterodactyls.
