Puck Pimps 4, Vudoo 2

Friday, April 7, 2017

The Puck Pimps scored the first two goals of the game: Tarek Bonna, then Eric Racine. Puck Pimps goalie, Nick Minarik, was unbeaten until 2:21 was left, when Mark Schwanda put one past him.

A Vudoo hooking penalty to Gary Len put the Pimps on the power play, but the Vudoo played disciplined defense, with Pete Peterson not only making the initial saves, but having good rebound control as well. On the other end of the rink, Minarik was playing well too, frustrating the Vudoo as they could not tie it.

The third period began with an early goal by Tarek Bonna, his second, to put the Pimps up 3-1. Marc Gallagher increased the lead to 4-1, after the Vudoo were unable to beat Minarik. A Pimps penalty to Keith Weissman put them down a man, but Minarik would stifle the Vudoo on their power play, preventing them from getting their second. The minutes peeled off the clock, and a Pimps win was on the way, but with one second left, Schwanda got his second when Tom Godon assisted him. Obviously this was not enough, and the Pimps won, 4-2.

Nick Minarik, who only allowed two goals, won the Hockey Haus Man of the Match Award.
