Vudoo Take Season Series with Sewer Rats

The Vudoo scored when their leading scorer, James Woods-Corwin, finished. Andrew Viox of the Sewer Rats was later called for tripping, which was followed by a Vudoo hooking penalty to Kurt Seidel, just 40 seconds later. When Viox returned to play, he assisted on an Eric Vogt goal to tie the score at one.

The Vudoo regained the lead when Jesse Peterson was assisted by Ray "Ziesse's Peanut Butter Cup" Ziesse, to make it 2-1, before Woods-Corwin scored the next three goals, the first from Tom Godon, and the second unassisted. Peterson and Mazza were each called for matching roughing penalties to finish the action on the scoresheet, to send it into the third with the Vudoo leading, 4-1.

55 seconds into the third, Woods-Corwin finished his natural hat-trick, which was his fourth of the game, and his third unassisted. Andrew Viox snagged one back for the Sewer Rats, to make it 5-2, but Will DiMock scored when Godon picked up his second assist, to put the lead back at four, 6-2. The Sewer Rats got closer when Mike Sbailo scored from Bob Wahl to make it 6-3, but this was the last goal of the game. With less than a minute to go, the Vudoo's Tom Thrun took a slashing penalty, and soon after Mark Phelps of the Sewer Rats was sent off for tripping, finishing off the game with a Vudoo win.

James Woods-Corwin won the Man of the Match Award with four goals.
