Graham's Hat Trick Helps Defeat Vudoo

After suffering their first loss in their previous game to still undefeated Ooff!, the Rink Rats were looking to get back on track with a win over the Vudoo. However, the Vudoo took the first lead with a goal from Ray Ziesse. They held onto this one goal lead until late in the first period when Nick Graham scored twice to flip the lead in the Rink Rats' favor.

About halfway through the second, the Rink Rats took a multi-goal lead thanks to Christian Larrabee. Tom Castenschiold continued to stymie the Vudoo, and once again the Rink Rats would finish the period strongly with a goal from Joe Maresca, Jr., and a third goal from Graham, sending their team into the third with a 5-1 lead.

The Vudoo refused to go down easily though, as Kurt Seidel scored 24 seconds into the period to cut the lead down to three, and Ziesse scored again with nine minutes to go, putting the score at 5-3 with plenty of time remaining. However, they would get no closer. Time was starting to run out, and with 3:19 remaining, Mike Mormile put the Rink Rats back up by three. Maresca added another goal, setting the final score at 7-3 in favor of the Rink Rats.
