Ooff! Triumphs Over Vudoo in First Game of the Season

The only teams with double O's faced off in this game to start the D-IV season. Anyone who had seen these teams play past seasons definitely would have expected another outcome. The rust from the off-season was definitely evident.

The first period would start with a quick goal from Ooff!at 13:13. It would be scored by Ryan Sims for the first of the season. This goal obviously shook Vudoo who went into turtle for a while. They would get a tripping penalty but instead of it hurting them they would see a short handed goal from James "Ooo a Piece of Candy" Woods-Corwin at 6:02. Vudoo would score again at 1:50 to take the lead before the end of the period.

The second period would start the same as the first, with Ooff! scoring an early goal coming from Nicole Terpak to tie the game up at two. Vudoo would score again to retake the lead at 5:59 coming from Jesse Peterson. Ooff! was not going to give this one up easily though. They would continue the seesaw battle and score to tie it up at 3:51 from Milton Solis. This was the game changing goal, Ooff!'s Ed Laban would score before the end of the period to put Ooff! up for the first time since the first goal..

The third period would begin and Ooff! would come out strong again seeing Chris Fagan scoring at 13:38. With the game coming to a close and Vudoo down two it was desperation time. Vudoo would try to open up the game but it would backfire when Ooff!'s Kevin Dougherty would score the final goal of the game at 2:24.
