Woods-Corwin's Four Goals Help Vudoo Clinch 2nd Place

This game would decide who finishes in second as the Vudoo took on the Puck Pimps. The Pimps jumped out to an early lead as Eric Racine scored one minute into the game, but James Woods-Corwin responded 25 seconds later. Late in the period, Justin Senerchia gave the Pimps another lead, but Vudoo captain Gary Len scored with just two seconds to go before the end of the period to send this game into the second tied at two.

Dave Scioscio regained the Puck Pimps' lead early in the second, but Woods-Corwin answered once again. This time, the Vudoo would score next as Len scored again and Antonio Figueroa made it 5-3. Chris "The Kazmanian Devil" Kazlauskas cut the lead in half before the second ended, putting the score at 5-4 Vudoo after two periods.

Marc Gallagher scored an equalizer two minutes into the third, but Woods-Corwin regained the lead as he completed a hat trick. Forty-six seconds later, rookie Rene Merghart made it a two-goal difference at 7-5. With half of the third period remaining, Will Dimock scored to open up an 8-5 lead, but the Pimps cut the lead back down to two very shortly. However, the Vudoo were not done yet as Woods-Corwin scored his fourth of the evening, and Ray Ziesse made it 10-6. Defenseman Dave Petzinger scored for the Pimps with two minutes to go, but they would get no closer as the Vudoo would take this game by the final of 10-7.

With this victory, the Vudoo finish in second place and will take on winless Ooff! in the quarterfinals. The Puck Pimps finish in fourth and will meet the Rink Rats.
