Vudoos Fall In Shoot Out

After a heart breaking loss the the Archers in their last game the Puck Pimps come into tonight's game hungry to get some points in the standings against a Vudoos teams who after having a good stretch of games got blown out by the Shice-T in their last appearance. Neither team wanted to make a mistake to put them down early in the game and they both ran the clock in the first period to the end without giving up a single goal.

After a tightly played first period the Pimps came out with a strong offensive push that ended with the puck in the back of the net off the stick of Dan Panella to give them and early lead in the second period. The Vudoo had been unprepared for the sudden assault, given how tightly the opening period had played out, but readjusted quickly and Ray Ziesse posted the first Vudoo goal of the game at 10:07. Brian MacLean upped the Vudoo lead to 2-1 at 5:11 after receiving a neat pass from Ziesse and the Vudoo would take that lead into the second intermission.

Ziesse came out of the gate firing on all cylinders in the third and some good pressure lead to his second goal of the night just a minute fifteen into the period and the Vudoo found themselves in front by a score of 3-1. The Puck Pimps were down but not out and Charlie Cunion snapped the puck home at 8:29 to get the Pimps to within one. Time was falling off the clock in a hurry but the Vudoo were playing a solid shell trying to maintain their one goal lead but at 3:08 Myles Gellate tied the game up and would send the teams into the shoot out. Neither goal tender gave up a goal on the first three attempt but when Chris Kaslauskas skated down the center of the ice he made no mistake on where he wanted to put the puck and he put the Pimps up by one in the shoot out. It all came down to Ziesse at the end but he shot the puck right into the goal tender and the Puck Pimps picked up a 4-3 Victory in the Shoot out.
