Vudoos Drop Fourth Straight
Wednesday, November 4, 2015
Mark Schwanda, James Woods-Corwin and Brian MacLean each scored a goal but the Vudoos fell for the fourth time in as many outings. The Vudoos will attempt to avenge the loss with a rematch against the Archers next Wednesday at 10:00 PM.
The Vudoo were looking to turn their season around with a win in this game as the Archers continue battling for first place. Ryan Amann scored a minute and a half into this game to quickly give the Archers a lead. Kevin Inglis scored roughly three minutes afterwards to make it a multi-goal advantage, and Amann would score again before the period ended as Mike Davison kept the Vudoo off the board in the first.
They would not be shut out for much longer though, as Mark Schwanda scored in the opening minute of the second. Five minutes later, James Woods-Corwin brought the Vudoo back within a goal, but Charlie Amann scored just 26 seconds afterwards to regain the two-goal lead.
Brian MacLean cut the lead back down to one about halfway through the third, but they would get no closer as Marc Vermette scored with five minutes to go, icing a 5-3 Archers victory.
