Tom GodonT. Godon

Tom Godon scored two goals while Mark Schwanda added two assist but it wasn't enough as the Vudoos dropped their third straight after posting a three game winning streak.

After a devastating defeat at the unkind hands of the Puck Pimps the Vudoo look for redemption in tonight's contest against a Rink Rats team suffering from the frustration of a game postponed due to an false fire alarm due to a rink employee mistaking an e-cigarette smoker for being aflame. Both teams seek satisfaction but only one would taste the sweet chocolate coated goodness of victory while the other would be wrapped up in the itchy, wool sweater like embrace of defeat. The Rink Rats got on the board first when Christian Larrabee knocked the puck in at 10:10 to give his team the one goal lead. The Vudoo never say die attitude pulled them through though and a smidgen more then a minute and a half later Tom Godon pulled his team back even. The game quickly became a goal tending duel and neither team was able to gain a lead as the first period expired.

The second period started off on strong defense and stronger goal tending until Kurt Seidel managed to fool the goalie and slide the puck into the net at 9:51 and give the Vudoo the go ahead goal. Forty nine seconds later Joe Maresca Jr. came up with a nifty move to get the game knotted up at 2-2. The Rink Rats had grabbed the momentum by the horns and a strong surge from Nick Graham gave the Rats the lead at 8:38. Andrew Rudner was issued a penalty for head contact and a game misconduct when he mistook a member of the Vudoo for a gnat and tried to swat him. The Rink Rats survived the penalty kill and scheduled Rudner for an eye exam before Joe Jr. scored his second of the night to give the Rats a 4-2 lead. With the second intermission swiftly approaching Larrabee pulled a power move and scored his second of the night to end the period up 5-2

The Vudoo pulled themselves together and after an intermission filled with Emmy winning speeches and actor portrayals started their road to a comeback when Godon scored his second of the game to cut the lead to 5-3. The Vudoo did the voodoo that they doo and Pat Mack pulled his team to within one with just under ten minutes left to play. The game wore on but the Vudoo couldn't find the equalizer and the Rink Rats squeaked by with a one goal victory dashing the Vudoo comeback.
